Historically the first and the largest faculty of KSMU, for many years it remained the only Faculty of Kazan Imperial University. The Faculty was established in May 1814.

Duration of study: 6 years.

The first two years students study preclinical subjects. Beginning from the third year students start studying Introduction to internal diseases, general surgery, pathological anatomy and pathological physiology. The 4th, 5thand 6th years of study are devoted to mastering clinical disciplines: surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology and other disciplines.

Upon completion, faculty graduates receive the qualification of a “Medical Doctor” specialty in “General Medicine”.
