On May 13, 2017 rector’s meeting with honoured professor of KSMU, Associate Dean for Medical Education, Penn State College of Medicine (USA), Jeffrey Wong took place in KSMU. The following representatives of University participated in the meeting: head of the office of international affairs doctor M.A.Mukhamedyarov and professor of Hospital Therapy Department A.N.Maksudova. Members of the meeting discussed questions about aspects of collaboration development between KSMU and Penn State College of Medicine in the sphere of medical education and research.

On April 23, 2017 rector’s meeting with the delegation of medical universities of Chinese People's Republic took place in KSMU, since they participated in Program of VI Festival of students of medical and pharmaceutical universities of Russia “Physical training and sport are the second occupation of medical doctor” (VI Фестивале студентов медицинских и фармацевтических вузов России «Физическая культура и спорт – вторая профессия врача»). Multiathlon team from Nanjing Medical University and swim team from Wenzhou Medical University took part in sport festival as honoured guests and representatives of Association of Sino-Russian Medical Universities. The head of office of international affairs of KSMU, M.A.Mukhamedyarov, was in meeting.

Leaders of sport teams Doctor Haiping Liu and Doctor Zengqiang Yao expressed gratitude for warm welcome and invitation to the Sport Festival. Rector told about great history of university and fundamental achievements of KSMU, both in sport and science.

Participants of meeting discussed opportunities of cooperation between Russian and Chinese medical universities and looked forward to future fruitful collaboration. Alexey Stanislavovich presented gratitude letters to guests of sport festival and wished them outstanding sport achievements and thrilling victories.

On April 17, 2017 KSMU was accredited by Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for 3 years. This decision was made according to visit of Royal college of Canada expert to KSMU and as a result of The International residency Program Review Accreditation Committee meeting.

Status of institutional accreditation of Royal college of Canada acknowledges high international status and authority of KSMU, and it is necessary condition of accreditation of residency educational programs of KSMU. We would like to remind that KSMU carries out residency the program “Internal Medicine” since 2015.

Presently, KSMU is the only one medical university in Russia and CIS, which is accredited by Royal College of Canada. We congratulate officers and students of KSMU with that achievement!
