On November 30, 2023, Kazan State Medical University held a webinar on the topic “Possibilities of diagnostics and treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system”, where participants of the international module “Interesting in Cardiology” discussed interesting clinical cases.

Welcome speech was made by Head of the Residency Department of KSMU Alexander Zhidyaevsky and Head of the Office of International Affairs of KSMU Tatiana Korobovtseva.

The participants of the webinar discussed complex and interesting clinical cases in Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery, such as “Surgical treatment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy”, “Stantgraft implantation in the abdominal aorta after aorto-femoral bifurcation bypass”, “Takotsubo syndrome”, etc.

Recall that from November 15 to December 22, 2023, within the framework of the international scientific and educational consortium, Kazan State Medical University conducts an international educational module, in which the academic staff and residents of Semey Medical University and Karaganda Medical University (Kazakhstan) also take part.

From November 15 to December 22, 2023, within the framework of the international scientific and educational consortium, Kazan State Medical University conducts an international educational module “Interesting in Cardiology”.

The academic staff and residents of Kazan State Medical University, Semey Medical University (Kazakhstan), Karaganda Medical University (Kazakhstan) take part in the work of the module.

On November 23, 2023, there was the virtual tour of cardiovascular centers of Kazan and Kazakhstan.

On the part of Kazan State Medical University, the participants of the online meeting were First Vice-Rector Laysan Mukharyamova, Associate professors Zulfiya Galeeva and Larisa Baleeva and residents of the Cardiology Department, Assistant Marat Zainetdinov and residents of the Cardiovascular and Endovascular Surgery Department.

On the part of Semey Medical University – Merey Imanbayev, Chair of the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Department, Guzyal Abilmaginova, Chair of the Internal Medicine Department and residents. On the part of Karaganda Medical University – Dana Taizhanova, Head of the educational program “Cardiology, adult and pediatric cardiology”, Elena Larushina, Chair of the Internal Medicine Department and residents.

Also within the framework of this event there was an online lecture of Dana Taizhanova, MD, on the topic “CHD in elderly and old patients” (Karaganda Medical University, Kazakhstan).

Visit of the Islamic Republic of Iran delegation

On November 17, 2023, the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by the Science Advisor to the Embassy of IRI in the Russian Federation, the representative of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of IRI in Russia, Belarus and Central Asia, Mr. Hadi Goudarzi, visited Kazan State Medical University.

Within the framework of the visit, Rector of KSMU Aleksey Sozinov met with Mr. Goudarzi and representatives of the Consulate General of IRI in Kazan - Consul General Davud Mirzakhani, Consul Massoud Mollai, Attaсhe Nader Habibiе.

The meeting was also attended by First Vice-Rector Laysan Mukharyamova, Vice-Rector Zinnur Garaev, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Students Elena Koshpaeva and Head of the Office of International Affairs Tatiana Korobovtseva.

The parties discussed issues connected with development of cooperation in the field of healthcare, medical education and science. The delegation also met with KSMU students from the Islamic Republic of Iran. The meeting has passed in a friendly and warm atmosphere.

On November 16, 2023, the online lecture on the topic “Imaging Principals of Brain Tumours” by the Professor of Akdeniz University Abdullah Utku Şenol was held in Kazan State Medical University. Doctor Abdullah Utku Şenol is a Chair of Neuroradiology Department of Akdeniz University (Antalya, Turkey).

We are grateful to Professor of the Biochemistry and Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics Department of Kazan State Medical University Rustem Baikeyev for assistance in organizing this event.
