IFMSA-TAMSA International internship

Tatarstan Medical Students Association (TAMSA) is a representative of International Federation of Medical Students Associations which is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations (UN) as an official forum of medical students.

IFAMS was organized in 1951 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Eric Holst, professor and chairman of the Institute of Social Medicine at the University of Copenhagen, became the founder of the largest student organization to date, which includes 122 countries.

The federation consists of 6 committees:

​· Professional Exchange Committee

· Scientific Exchange Committee

· Reproductive Health Committee (including HIV)

· Human Rights and Peace Committee

· Medical Education Committee

· Public Health Committee

Tatarstan Medical Students Association (TAMSA) has been a member of IFMSA since 1995. For 20 years we have been active in 4 committees of the International federation (professional exchange committee, scientific exchange committee, medical education committee and public health committee). With the help of TAMSA, more than 60 KSMU students are annually doing their international internship abroad.

We are located on the 4th floor of KSMU’s main academic building, room 422.
