Festival for prospective students
On February 4-15, 2023, for the eleventh time in the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan State Medical University is hosting a large-scale career guidance event the Festival "Angels in white coats".
The organizers of the festival are Kazan State Medical University, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare of the Republic of Tatarstan and Tattehmedpharm.
The main goal of the festival is to acquaint schoolchildren who are interested in medicine with medical profession directly at the place of their future work. Young people will get a comprehensive picture of medical profession, Kazan State Medical University and medical community.
Festival program:
On February 4, all Central district hospitals of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as leading medical and preventive institutions of Kazan, will open their doors for schoolchildren who dream of becoming medical professionals. Each university department will present their field of work at university clinical bases.
On February 5, everyone will have the opportunity to get to know the University more closely, to take part in a meeting with KSMU Rector, Professor Alexey Stanislavovich Sozinov, at which the results of the republican competition among schoolchildren for the best question to the rector will be summed up. The winners of the competition will have the opportunity to take part in a Business breakfast with the Rector.
The participants of the Festival will take part in the medical quest "The smartest doctor!" and workshops "Lessons from the pros". After lunch break, participants will have a chance to take an aptitude test to assess individual skills and propensity to succeed in medical profession.
From February 6 to 15, every day at 4 p.m., the best KSMU professors will give open lectures on medical and social topics. Lectures will be broadcasted online on KSMU website.
Every year, the Festival attracts at least 3.5 thousand participants.
