On April 12, the solemn opening of the X International Youth Scientific Medical Forum “White Flowers” took place in the Assembly Hall of Kazan State Medical University.

Rector of Kazan State Medical University Alexey Sozinov made a welcoming speech.

The plenary reports were presented by:

-    Vladimir Oslopov, MD, Professor of the Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases Department named after Prof. S.S. Zimnitsky. The topic of his report is “S.S. Zimnitsky – the pride of Russian and Soviet medicine”, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of his birthday.

-    Diana Abdulganieva, Vice-Rector, Head of the Hospital Therapy Department, MD, Professor. The topic of her report: A scientific school supported by a grant from the President of the Russian Federation “Development of health-saving technologies for patients with immuno-inflammatory diseases during the COVID-19 pandemic”.

During the first day of the “White Flowers” forum there were many events such as:

-    Historic Conference of the Medicine and Prevention Faculty, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Public Health and Health Organization Department: section – “Memorable dates of Domestic Medicine”;
-    V International Olympiad in the History of Medicine;
-    VII International Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language “Russian Language and History of Medicine” among foreign medical students studying in intermediary language;
-    VI All-Russian Olympiad in Public Health and Healthcare, V All-Russian Olympiad in General Hygiene;
-    III International Olympiad in English Language.

About 60 students from all over Russia took part in the first day of the forum.

The Historic Conference was attended by 30 people with oral and poster presentations.

The participants came from different universities from all over Russia: Kazan State Medical University, Bashkir State Medical University, Izhevsk State Medical Academy, Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky, Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin.

-    1st place was awarded for an oral presentation to Gizatullin Eric (Bashkir State Medical University), Shakirova Diana (Izhevsk State Medical Academy).
-    1st place for a poster presentation to Ilaltdinova Amina (Kazan State Medical University), Shafigullin Artur (Kazan State Medical University).

6 teams participated in the Olympiad in the History of Medicine: 2 teams from Kazan State Medical University, the team from Bashkir State Medical University, the team from Tashkent Medical Academy, the team from Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin, the team from the Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University.

On results of the VII International Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language “Russian Language and History of Medicine” among foreign medical students studying in intermediary language, the following students took prizes:

-    Category of participants “The Far Abroad”, 1-2 courses: Hamid Ahmad Bilal (Kazan State Medical University)
-    Category of participants “The Far Abroad”, 1-2 courses after the preparatory pre-university department: Da Silva Hikkaduwe Galappatige Jayani Ishara (Kazan State Medical University)
-    Category of participants “The Far Abroad”, 3-4 courses: Mehrzi Jihed (Kazan State Medical University)
-    Category of participants “The Near Abroad”: Zhakhongir Kakhkharov (Ivanovo State Medical Academy).

Historic Conference of the Medicine and Prevention Faculty, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Public Health and Health Organization Department was held in the Assembly Hall of the main building of Kazan State Medical University within the framework of the X International Youth Scientific Medical Forum “White Flowers”, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of S.S. Zimnitsky.

11 oral and 5 poster presentations it was presented during the conference. The winners among oral presentations are as follows:

-    1st place “Labor heroism and military feat of the staff of the Microbiology Department during the Second World War” M.R. Sungatova (Kazan State Medical University);
-    2nd place “To the 140th anniversary of the birthday of Fatykh Mukhamedyarov. The History of life” A.I. Gismieva, A.R. Nurutdinova (Kazan State Medical University);
-    3rd place “To the 85th anniversary of the Epidemiology and Evidence-Based Medicine Department of Kazan State Medical University: from history to the present” M.Sh. Muzaffarova (Kazan State Medical University).

The winners among poster presentations are as follows:

-    1st place “On the 140th anniversary of the birthday of Fatykh Mukhamedyarov. People's Commissar. Mentors and teachers. The years of the great break” A.M. Garipova (Kazan State Medical University).

Also, the V All-Russian Olympiad in General Hygiene with international participation was held in an online format among students of 3-4 courses of General Medicine and Pediatrics Faculties of educational organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Health of Russia.

6 teams from 5 regions of Russia and the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the Olympiad:

-    “Baikal”, Yaroslavl State Medical University (Yaroslavl);
-    “Basileis of Hygiene”, St. Petersburg State Medical University (St. Petersburg);
-    “Inspectors”, Tashkent Medical Academy (Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan);
-    “Imperium”, South Ural State Medical University (Chelyabinsk);
-    “Vi”, Kazan State Medical University (Kazan);
-    “VitaPiece”, Orenburg State Medical University (Orenburg).

The organizer of the Olympiad, General Hygiene Department of Kazan State Medical University, conducted competitive tests for participants in an online format via MS Teams service.

The Olympiad consisted of 3 stages:


1.    “Sanitary bulletin” – all teams prepared a sanitary bulletin on the topic “Hygiene is the basis for the formation of a rational lifestyle and the prevention of socially negative phenomena”;
2.    “Brain Ring” – all teams were asked 25 questions and given 10 seconds to answer each question;
3.    “Situational task” – all teams gave a case solution in General Hygiene.

All participants, working in teams, successfully coped with competitive tasks, trying to make their presentations not only informative, but also vivid.

-    1st place “Imperium”, South Ural State Medical University (Chelyabinsk).
-    2nd place “Basileis of Hygiene”, St. Petersburg State Medical University (St. Petersburg);
-    3rd place “Inspectors”, Tashkent Medical Academy (Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan).

The winners of the III International Olympiad in English Language:

-    1st place Kazan State Medical University (Akramova Zilya, gr.1304, Grachunova Olga, gr.2508, Kagarmanova Regina, gr.2506, Kimsanova Akylai, gr.4509, Soboleva Polina, gr.2515, Fakhrutdinov Hafiz, gr.160);

-    2nd place Tashkent Medical Academy (Tursunbaeva Diera, 1st General Medicine Faculty, 6th course, gr. 604, Oltiboev Asilbek, 2nd General Medicine Faculty, 4th course, gr. 40).

17 teams participated in the VI All-Russian Olympiad in Public Health and Healthcare:

-    1st place V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, Republic of Crimea;
-    2nd place Kazan State Medical University.
