IX International Conference “Medical education: the choice of the generation of the XXI century”
On May 16, 2023, the International Educational and Methodological Conference “MEDICAL EDUCATION: THE CHOICE OF THE GENERATION OF THE XXI CENTURY”, which is traditionally organized by Kazan State Medical University, opened for 9th time.
The conference was held within the implementation of the state program “Priority – 2030”. The aim of this program is to form in Russia by 2030 more than 100 progressive modern universities – centers of scientific, technological and socio-economic development of the country.
Rectors of medical universities of Russia and the “Near Abroad” took part in the plenary session: Sozinov Alexey, Rector of Kazan State Medical University, Israilov Zhakhongirkhon, Vice -Rector for International Cooperation of Tashkent Medical Academy (Republic of Uzbekistan), Turmukhambetova Anar, Rector of Karaganda Medical University (Republic of Kazakhstan), Dyusupov Altay, Rector of Semey Medical University (Republic of Kazakhstan), Turdalieva Botagoz, Rector of Kazakhstan Medical University “Higher School of Public Health” (Republic of Kazakhstan), Shvetsov Mikhail, Rector of Mari State University, Balkizov Zalim, Director of Institute of Medical Education of Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Hasanov Rustem, Director of Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. Speakers from 12 Russian educational organizations had been announced at sections, discussion platforms, and round tables.
During the conference the issues of modern transformation of medical education, organization of students’ practical training, partnership in medical education, digital educational space and others were discussed. The participants of the conference shared their experience in creating new educational programs and introducing relevant educational technologies, organizing research work of students at a medical university, discussed the development of scientific and educational consortia and clusters, and much more.
