International Doctor's Day

On October 2, 2023, an important holiday is celebrated in Russia and abroad - International Doctor’s Day. Some facts about it:

•    it is an international, unofficial holiday
•    initiated by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Doctors without Borders
•    is celebrated annually on the first Monday of October
•    in 2023 is on the 2nd of October
•    its purpose is to thank all the doctors of the world and to emphasize the indisputable importance of their work

International Doctor’s Day is also called World Doctors' Solidarity Day. No matter where they work, they save people regardless of religion, nationality and age under the Hippocratic Oath. It’s a celebration of those who have chosen the most humanist profession in the world. What it means to humanity, the whole planet felt during the coronavirus pandemic, when doctors just were dead on their feet, struggling for the life and health of hundreds of millions of people day after day in the red zones in hospitals.
