International symposium
The Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Department of Kazan State Medical University took part in the XV International Symposium on Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, which was held on November 16-17 at the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.
Mikhail Butovsky, Assistant of the Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Department of KSMU, made a presentation “Evaluation of the effectiveness of surgery on large joints of professional adult athletes in team sports”.
The symposium was traditionally organized by Sechenov University, Russia's anti-doping agency “RUSADA” and the Medical Committee of the Russian Football Union. This year, for the first time, the Russian Union of Athletes co-organized the scientific forum, the event was attended by famous Russian athletes - Olympic champions and world champions.
The symposium was held in a combined format – offline and online. The Congress Center of Sechenov University brought together leading scientists, doctors, specialists in the field of sports science, academics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Federal Medical and Biological Agency and sports federations. In two days, more than 1,700 specialists from 27 countries and 193 cities of the world took part in this event, of whom more than 800 were directly present.
