Festival “Angels in White”
From 3 to 15 February, the 12th time in the Republic of Tatarstan will be held the festival “Ак халатлы фәрештәләр – Angels in White”. The organizers of the Festival are Kazan State Medical University, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing in Tatarstan and State Unitary Enterprise "Tattechmedfarm".
The main idea of the Festival is an introduction to the medical profession at the place of work. Schoolchildren get a better idea of the future specialty and realize that the Kazan State Medical University is just the beginning of a journey into a large medical community.
On February 3, all Central District Hospitals of the Republic of Tatarstan open doors for schoolchildren dreaming of medicine, as well as leading medical and health care institutions of Kazan. Each faculty together with employers will present their specialties on the appropriate clinical bases.
After meetings with schoolchildren, the chief doctors are waiting for the KSMU alumni meeting to discuss employment options.
On February 4, everyone will have the opportunity to get acquainted directly with the university, to participate in a meeting with its Head, Professor Aleksey Sozinov.
The participants of the Festival will have a medical quest “Mysterious disease for patient zero” and master-classes “Lessons from the pros”. At the end of the quest winners await memorable souvenirs from KSMU. In the afternoon, the schoolchildren will play psycho-drama "My career path".
From 5 to 14 February daily at 16.00 p.m. the best teachers of the Kazan State Medical University will be given popular lectures on medical and social topics. Lectures will be broadcast online on the university website https://kazangmu.ru and the university’s official social media page.
The bright final of the Festival will be medical quiz "The most intelligent doctor", which will be held for six school teams in the student area of Kazan State Medical University “Pulse”.
The experience of the Festival in previous years showed its demand by schoolchildren dreaming of medicine. Every year, within the framework of the Festival there are many interesting events that are visited by at least 4,000 people.
