Doctors of medical institutions of Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan were awarded the title of "Clinical faculty of the residency program of KSMU" on January 18, 2019 in Kazan State Medical University. This title is awarded in order to recognize the merits and active participation of medical practitioners - employees of medical institutions - in the implementation of the residency program of Kazan State Medical University.

Kazan State Medical University has been actively developing a project for training therapists in the framework of the residency educational program according to the standards of the Royal College of physicians and surgeons of Canada since 2015. Residency is a form of postgraduate medical education in clinical specialties, the passage of which is one of the conditions for admission to medical practice in the United States and Western Europe.

A.V. Shulaev, Vice-rector for regional health development welcomed the participants of the ceremony on behalf of the leadership of Kazan State Medical University. In his speech, he noted that clinical faculty contribute to the improvement of the quality of clinical medical training residency programs, improvement and introduction of new teaching methods, strengthening and development of the base of the departments of Kazan State Medical University, the growth of prestige and authority of Kazan medical school. The event were also attended by Ramin Ahmadi, Executive Director of GMED Global (USA), M. A. Mukhamedyarov, Head of the International Affairs Department, A. N. Maksudova ,Internal Medicine Residency Program Director Deputy chief physicians of medical institutions, which are  key clinical bases of the residency program.

According to the results of the first selection for the title "Clinical faculty of the residency program of KSMU was awarded to 10 doctors, including representatives of the Republican clinical hospital of the Ministry of health of RT, City clinical hospital №7 of the Ministry of health of RT, Republican clinical oncological dispensary of the Ministry of health of RT, Republican clinical infectious diseases hospital.

Residency Education Committee Meeting took place on December 25, 2018. The meeting was attended by A.V. Shulaev ,Vice-rector for regional health development, M. A. Mukhamedyarov, Head of International Affairs Department, A. N. Maksudova ,Residency Program Director, M. V. Kuznetsov , Deputy chief physician for the medical part of the Clinic of the Medical University, M. V. Burmistrov , Deputy chief physician for science, development and innovative technologies of RCH, E. B. Frolova , Deputy chief physician for the diagnosis of City Hospital № 7, I. V. Khusnutdinova ,Head of clinical and expert Department of ICDC, R. G. Zaripova , Deputy chief physician of the Republican clinical infectious diseases hospital, E. I. Bogdanov, Head of Neurology and Rehabilitation Department of KSMU.

The following issues were discussed during the meeting: the implementation of residency program at clinical sites, the project "Clinical faculty of Residency Program of KSMU", and the upcoming visit of the Accreditation Commission of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

The extended meeting of Residency Education Committee of KSMU was held with the participation of  rector of KSMU A. S. Sozinov on October 28. The meeting was also attended by A. V. Shulaev, Vice rector for cooperation with the educational-industrial bases and clinical work  , M. A. Mukhamedyarov ,Head of International Affairs Department , A. N. Maksudova,  Residency Program Director  ,  I. H. Sharafutdinov, Chief Physician of the Clinic of the Medical University, R. M. Mazitov,  Deputy chief physician of the RCH, F. S.
