April 3 - 7 KSMU was visited by the expert of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Professor of the University of McGill Thomas Maniatis. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize with the implementation of the residency program KSMU by the standards of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. During the visit, the expert got acquainted with the organizational structure of the university, visited the Center for Practical Skills and the KSMU Museum, sites for the residency education. On one of the days of the visit, Professor Maniatis conducted a lecture for Faculty on the topic "Simulation training in therapy".

February 5, 2017, within the framework of the visit to KSMU, GMED Chief operating officer Ramin Ahmadi gave a lecture for the teaching staff on the topic "Teaching and Evaluating CANMEDS Competencies: Leadership and Advocacy".

Ramin Ahmadi took part in the institutional committee and "Internal Medicine" residency programm committee meetings as well.

September 27, during the visit to Toronto, the rector of the KSMU A.S. Sozinov took part in the meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, RN. Minnikhanov with the leadership of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, which was held on the basis of one of the largest children's hospitals in Canada.
